Anno Peaceful Passing

At 1:20 a.m., Mom passed away peacefully. She had been in some discomfort and had been given morphine earlier in the evening. She died very peacefully in her sleep with Sarah holding her hand.

All of her body systems had been heavily taxed for almost two weeks fighting the C. Diff. and colitis. She had let us know that she was ready to die.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother and friend to many. She will be missed but we celebrate her life and all that she was and did.

In the next day or so we will be making plans for a memorial service and will post plans here and be contacting people in as many ways as possible.

Thanks again for your prayers. We are grateful that she was able to communicate with us til the end and that she died peacefully. We imagine she is golfing and playing bridge waiting for us to join her.

She was a great lady and the matriarch of an amazing, loving family. Not many leave such a legacy. My condolences to all.

Our Dearest Anno,

You were such a wonderful sister and mother...so full of life and the love you exhibited at the many family gatherings we enjoyed together over your lifetime! You have definitely passed along all your wonderful traits to your family, but there will be a big void in your family and ours now. You were such a strong fighter, and we are grateful that you were able to leave all us so peacefully. You will always be in ours hearts everyday!

Love,
Paul, Donna and Stacie

Dear Cousins,
We are so sorry. Brian was looking forward to getting that gin and tonic he promised Anno. She was an amazing mother and very special aunt. Her extended family will miss her so, but in you she has left her legacy. May you find comfort in the following words by Kim Noblitt:

Our prayers have all been answered.
I finally arrived.
The healing that had been delayed
Has now been realized.
No one’s in a hurry.
There’s no schedule to keep.
We’re all enjoying Jesus
Just sitting at His feet.

If you could see me now,
I’m walking streets of gold.
If you could see me now,
I’m standing tall and whole.
If you could see me now,
You’d know I’ve seen His face.
If you could see me now,
You’d know the pain is erased.
You wouldn’t want me
To ever leave this place.
If you could see me now.

Love,
Lynn and Brian

I am deeply saddened to hear this news. A life lived to the fullest by a lady who inspired me and many others. I love her tenacity, intelligence, and frankness. I met Anne when she was planning her move to Horizon House when the new building’s 7th floor was just air, then concrete, then walls and windows, then home. I helped her move, a move she said she made with no regrets. Anne is an inspiration to me, a great encourager and I will always remember her positive attitude, guidance, genuine smile and her wise words. Her life is an example worth following.

With love,
Ginny

To my lovely Granno,

Words can not describe how much I will miss my Granno. The quirky comments, the refreshingly honest truths she spoke, the tremendous love she felt for us all....I just don't know where to begin. She is one of the most graceful, generous people I have ever known. I feel so very lucky to have been one of the many people whose lives she has touched and inspired.

I will cherish the memories that I have built with my Granno over the years. The Oregon golf trip when we played golf every day for a week, and then watching Tiger together win his first Masters at night on VHS because we recorded it during the day....The physical and emotional rally that she pulled of to make make it to Vashon for my wedding this past July...It goes on and on and on....

She has put the tools in place for all of us to love and cherish each other for many years to come as a family. I look forward to showing Granno that her efforts and her hard work with this family will echo on for as long as I am around, and that we will continue our traditions and our closeness in memory of her.

Every time I put a shovel in the ground at Vashon, or sink another birdie putt on the back nine...I will for ever remember my Granno.

I love you so much Granno, and you will forever hold a very special place in this Grandson's heart.

We were so sorry to hear about Anno. She was always strong and positive and full of life -it is hard to believe she is gone. She was a great cousin to me, always keeping in touch and connecting whenever possible. I guess the last time I saw her was when she stopped for a visit here on her way to Whistler. She had a van full of friends and golf clubs and luggage and was having a wonderful day. I will miss her friendship and her great spirit. Jamie and I send our thoughts and prayers.
Love, Cindy
